1. Definitions 
    1.1 “Company” means Volt City Electrical.
    1.2 “Client” means the person or entity engaging the Company for Goods and/or Services.
    1.3 “Goods” means electrical products and materials supplied by the Company.
    1.4 “Services” means electrical work and related services provided by the Company.
    1.5 “Price” means the cost of the Goods and/or Services as agreed between the Company and the Client.
  2. Acceptance
    2.1 The Client’s request for Goods or Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Trade.
    2.2 These terms take precedence over any conditions issued by the Client unless agreed in writing by the Company.
  3. Price and Payment
    3.1 Prices are subject to change without notice unless stated otherwise in a written quote.
    3.2 Payment is due as per the terms specified in the Company’s invoice.
    3.3 The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue invoices.
  4. Client-Supplied Fixtures and Fittings
    4.1 The Company reserves the right to refuse the installation of Client-supplied fixtures and fittings at its sole discretion.
    4.2 The Company is not liable for any defects, failures, or issues arising from Client-supplied products.
  5. Delivery and Risk
    5.1 Delivery dates are estimates only, and the Company shall not be liable for delays beyond its control.
    5.2 Risk in the Goods passes to the Client upon delivery, irrespective of payment status.
    5.3 The Company retains ownership of the Goods until full payment is received.
  6. Warranties and Liability
    6.1 The Company warrants that its Services will be performed with reasonable skill and care.
    6.2 The Company is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, alteration, or third-party work.
    6.3 Liability is limited to the value of the Goods and/or Services provided.
  7. Variations and Cancellations
    7.1 Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be approved in writing and may result in additional charges.
    7.2 The Company reserves the right to charge for any work completed prior to cancellation.
  8. Access and Site Conditions
    8.1 The Client must ensure safe and reasonable access to the site.
    8.2 Additional charges may apply for unforeseen site conditions or delays outside the Company’s control.
  9. Compliance with Laws
    9.1 The Client shall comply with all applicable laws, including electrical safety regulations.
    9.2 The Company will not re-energize unsafe installations until required rectifications are completed.
  10. General
    10.1 The Company may amend these terms at any time, with notice provided to the Client.
    10.2 If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
    10.3 These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and disputes shall be subject to New Zealand courts.

By engaging Volt City Electrical for Goods and/or Services, the Client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms of Trade.
